Animal Haven & No More Homeless Pets KC Merge, Form Heartland SPCA
BicMedia’s 4 legged friends were finally cast in a project for Heartland SPCA. They were surprisingly easier to work with than many of our human talent. Thanks to Mike Deathe, owner of KISS Dog Training & his pal Leo.

MERRIAM, KS. – Animal Haven, the second largest humane society and animal welfare organization in Kansas City, and No More Homeless Pets KC, the metro’s leader in high quality, affordable veterinary care and spay/neuter services, have merged.
The new organization, Heartland SPCA, is the first full-circle solution for residents in the Kansas City area.
“Several months ago, both organizations began looking at ways we could work together to help more pets and expand our respective footprints in the community.
As this relationship continued to evolve, merging became the natural next step,” said Courtney Thomas, Executive Director of Heartland SPCA.
The merger, which became effective today, will allow the organization to provide care to approximately 15,000 animals a year through their adoption, lost pet, and affordable spay/neuter and veterinary services
“The work of Animal Haven and No More Homeless Pets KC complement each other well, and combined, will allow the organization to provide comprehensive animal care for the life cycle of your pet. If you’re looking for a new pet, we can assist you through our robust adoption program. If you’ve lost your pet, we work to reunite you. If you need affordable veterinary care, you can come to our Animal Medical Center. We are truly a full-circle solution for the community,” said Thomas.
